RAMES
CFDS metal frames, standard or non-standard, in both fire rated and non-fire rated forms, are all made from quality materials.
In 2012, we invested in a facility to enable direct manufacture of our own frames. Initially, this was set up to meet our clients needs and ensure effective time frames for supply of non-standard frames. Once detail is confirmed, it is generally possible to turn around frames in 2-3 days (depending on size of order).

ESSENTIAL DOOR HARDWARE
Essential Door Hardware consists of those items of hardware which are required for the fire resistant doorset to achieve its fire rating (FRL): that is by removal of one or more of these items, the fire rating (FRL) could not be achieved or the door would not comply with the design considerations in AS 1905 Part 1.
Essential Door Hardware includes:
Door locks
Door strike
Door closers
Door hinges for single hinged doors
Door pivots for pivot doors
Door meeting stile details
Sequence selectors for pairs of doors
Panic Exit devices on egress doors
Intumescent fire door seals when required to achieve FRL
Track, roller carriages and counterweight system for sliding doors
CFDS has a range of Essential Door Hardware, and internal hardware, from which our clients can make a selection. This enables CFDS to provide a ‘one stop shop’. Alternatively, we will install hardware selected and supplied by others.
Other Sundry items that can be supplied and/or installed include:
Fire Rated Vision Panels
Air Transfer Grilles
Conduit for Electric Locks

DOOR PANELS
Fire door panels are an important piece of fire equipment and are designed and installed in most building types. It is imperative that fire door panels and their installation are completed in accordance with specifications, Australian Standards and the BCA. Applicable certification is also an important factor in this process.
A wide variety of door panels are available and CFDS staff will assist in the selection of the most cost efficient panel type to meet our clients requirements.
All door panels supplied by CFDS can be provided to suit requirements for rebated door sets and seals, vision panels, return air grilles, electric locks, and selected architectural hardware.
The detail elevation below nominates the required outcome for a successfully installed fire rated door frame and panel.
